The MLX040A0XY3 Digital DLynxIIITM power
module is a non-isolated dc-dc converter that can
deliver up to 40A of output current. It operates
over a wide input voltage range from 7.0VDC to
14VDC and provides precisely regulated output
voltage programmable from 0.45VDC to 2.0VDC via
PMBusTM. The module employs an advanced PID
based adjustable digital control loop which
ensures loop stability, provides fast transient
response and reduces amount of required output
capacitance. Up to 160A of additional satellite
based phase modules can be connected in parallel
to form a second stand-alone bus. Main features
include: digital PMBusTM interface, programmable
enable logic and control, cycle-by-cycle output
current monitoring, input and output undervoltage
and over-voltage protections, undertemperature
and over-temperature protections
and more. The module has an extensive set of
PMBusTM commands for both control and
monitoring of the system parameters. The
MLX040A0XY3 power module is highly
configurable, and yet easy to use.
