TI’s customers are responsible for determining suitability of components for their purposes, as well as validating and testing their design implementation to confirm system functionality. 10.1 Application Information The TPS1663x is a 60-V eFuse, typically used for hot-swap and power rail protection applications. The device operates from 4.5 V to 60 V with programmable current limit, overvoltage, and undervoltage protections. The device aids in controlling in-rush current and provides output power limiting for systems such as PLCs, Telecom radios, and industrial printers. The device also provides robust protection for multiple faults on the system rail. The Detailed Design Procedure section can be used to select component values for the device.
