1 / 29 page ![]() TMAG5131-Q1 Automotive Low-Power, High-Precision, Hall Effect Switch 1 Features • Industry-leading ultra-low power consumption: – 20 Hz versions: 2 µA at 3 V • Operating VCC range: 1.65 V to 5.5 V • High precision magnetic threshold option (typical BOP): – 3 mT with 1.5 mT hysteresis • Omnipolar magnetic response • Push-pull or Open-drain output options • Industry-standard SOT-23 (DBZ) package • Operating temperature range: –40°C to +125°C 2 Applications • Door handles and E-latches • Stalk shifter • Sun visor, vanity mirror, or glove box • Open, close sensor for LCD screens, lids, or trunks • Wiper home or end position sensor • Brake pedal or rear light actuator • Sunroof or tailgate • Rocker switch • Battery-critical position sensing 3 Description The TMAG5131-Q1 is an ultra-low-power, low voltage, high precision, Hall-effect sensor, designed for the most compact and battery-critical automotive applications. The device is offered in multiple magnetic thresholds, sampling rates and output types to accommodate various applications. When the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the operating point (BOP) threshold, the device outputs a low voltage. The output stays low until the flux density decreases to less than the release point (BRP), and then the device outputs a high voltage. Omnipolar magnetic response allows the output to be sensitive to both north and south magnetic fields. The TMAG5131-Q1 is internally power cycled to operate at a very low current consumption. The 20 Hz versions have current consumption of 2 μA at 3 V. The TMAG5131-Q1 is available in the industry- standard package and pin out SOT-23. The device operates at a VCC range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V as well as an extended temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.
