SEQUENTIAL READ

Sequential read can be initiated as either a current read or random read. The first word is

transmitted in the same manner as the other read modes. However the master responds with an

acknowledge, indicating it requires additional data. The AK6004A/08A continues to output data for

each acknowledge received. The data output is sequential, with the data from address n followed

by the data from n+1.

The master will not acknowledge the transfer but generate the stop

condition, and therefore the AK6004A/08A discontinues transmission.

AK6004A: When the highest address is reached ($1FF), the address counter rolls over to address

$000 allowing the read cycle to be continued indefinitely.

AK6008A: When the highest address is reached ($7FF), the address counter rolls over to address

$000 allowing the read cycle to be continued indefinitely.
