General Description

The HT7L4815 is a non-isolation buck PWM

controllerforLEDlightingapplications.Thedevice

hasafullyintegratedPFCcircuitwhichoperatesin

aboundaryconductionmode(BCM)toachievehigh

powerfactorvalues.AhighvoltagepowerMOSFETs

isintegratedinthedevice.Withfullcontrolprovided

overtheinternalMOSFETs,thedevicecaneasily

meettheexactingLEDcurrentandhighpowerfactor

requirements.

Thedeviceprovidesseveralprotectionfunctions,

whichincludeVCCUnderVoltageLockout(UVLO),

Over Current Protection (OCP), Output LED

StringOpenProtection,OutputLEDStringShort

Protection,VCCOverVoltageProtection(OVP)and

Leading-EdgeBlanking(LEB)forcurrentsensing.

Additionallyandtoensuresystemreliability,the

deviceincludesafullyintegratedthermalprotection

function.

Thehighleveloffunctionalintegrationminimisesthe

externalcomponentcountgivingmajoradvantages

intermsofcostandcircuitboardarea.Thedeviceis

suppliedina8-pinSOPpackage.
