Monitoring Functions
4.2.1
Power Supply Monitoring
The power supply Voltage
V
S is monitored for over- and under voltage.
• Under Voltage
If the supply voltage
V
S drops below the switch off voltage VUV OFF, all output
transistors are switched off and the power supply fail bit PSF is set. The error is not
latched, i.e. if
V
S rises again and reaches the switch on voltage VUV ON, the power
stages are restarted and the error bit is reset.
• Over Voltage
If the supply voltage
V
S rises above the switch off voltage VOV OFF, all output
transistors are switched off and the power supply fail bit (bit 7 of the SPI diagnosis
word) is set. The error is not latched, i.e. if
V
S falls again and reaches the switch on
voltage
V
OV ON, the power stages are restarted and the error is reset.
