AnEVchipexistsforthepurposesofdeviceemulation.ThisEVchipdevicealsoprovidesan

“On-ChipDebug”functiontodebugthedeviceduringthedevelopmentprocess.TheEVchip

andtheactualMCUdevicesarealmostfunctionallycompatibleexceptforthe“On-ChipDebug”

function.UserscanusetheEVchipdevicetoemulatetherealchipdevicebehaviorbyconnecting

theOCDSDAandOCDSCKpinstotheHoltekHT-IDEdevelopmenttools.TheOCDSDApinis

theOCDSData/Addressinput/outputpinwhiletheOCDSCKpinistheOCDSclockinputpin.

WhenusersusetheEVchipfordebugging,otherfunctionswhicharesharedwiththeOCDSDA

andOCDSCKpinsintheactualMCUdevicewillhavenoeffectintheEVchip.However,thetwo

OCDSpinswhicharepin-sharedwiththeICPprogrammingpinsarestillusedastheFlashMemory

programmingpinsforICP.ForamoredetailedOCDSdescription,refertothecorresponding

Memory.Herearelocatedregisterswhicharenecessaryforcorrectoperationofthedevice.Many

oftheseregisterscanbereadfromandwrittentodirectlyunderprogramcontrol,however,some

remainprotectedfromusermanipulation.ThesecondareaofDataMemoryisknownastheGeneral

PurposeDataMemory,whichisreservedforgeneralpurposeuse.Alllocationswithinthisareaare

readandwriteaccessibleunderprogramcontrol.

TheoverallDataMemoryissubdividedintotwobanks.TheSpecialPurposeDataMemoryregistersare

accessibleinallbanks,withtheexceptionoftheEECregisterataddress40H,whichisonlyaccessible

inBank1.SwitchingbetweenthedifferentDataMemorybanksisachievedbysettingtheBankPointer

tothecorrectvalue.ThestartaddressoftheDataMemoryforthedeviceistheaddress00H.
