Registers range from 8 to 64 bits in length and are divided into RAM-based registers and virtual registers. The RAM-based registers contain both operating parameters and measurement results. The virtual registers contain calculated values derived from one or more real registers. They are calculated at the time they are requested, and thus can involve addi- tional time to return a value. Most virtual registers are 8 bytes in length and are delivered least significant byte first. |
