General Description

TheHT7L4811isanon-isolationbuckPWMcontroller

forLEDlightingapplications.Thedevicehasafully

integratedPFCcircuitwhichoperatesinaboundary

conductionmode(BCM)toachievehighpowerfactor

values.WithgoodcontroloverexternalMOSFETs,the

devicecaneasilymeetexactingLEDcurrentandhigh

powerfactorrequirements.

TheHT7L4811providesseveralprotectionfunctions,

whichincludeVCCUnderVoltageLockout(UVLO),

Over Current Protection (OCP), Output LED

StringOpenProtection,OutputLEDStringShort

Protection,VCCOverVoltageProtection(OVP)and

Leading-EdgeBlanking(LEB)forcurrentsensing.

Additionallyandtoensuresystemreliability,the

deviceincludesafullyintegratedthermalprotection

function.ToprotecttheexternalpowerMOSFET

frombeingdamagedbyasupplyovervoltage,the

deviceDRVpinvoltageisclampedtoabout17V.

Thehighleveloffunctionalintegrationminimisesthe

externalcomponentcountgivingmajoradvantages

intermsofcostandcircuitboardarea.Thedeviceis

suppliedinaSOT23-6package.
