47 / 104 page  DocID028693 Rev 1 47/104 L9663 Communication interface 103 5 Communication interface As interface to the microcontroller, either the SPI interface or the direct interface shall be used. The following pins are used for SPI communication: MOSI MISO SCLK CS 5.1 Device registers The following registers are available for writing configuration data and reading information data. Registers can be of 4 different types: WO: writeable only RO: readable only R/W: both readable and writeable RC : readable and cleared upon reading Device configuration registers are marked with "PROG". These registers can only be written before the microcontroller sends an EOP (End Of Programming) command through the Direct Command Register (DCR). The registers which have a special safety importance contain a parity bit (PAR) which must be written by the μC with an odd parity. A periodic check (every 150 us) is done and if a parity error is found on one of these registers the GBIT is set. |
