System Clocks TheseriesofdeviceshavemanydifferentclocksourcesforboththeCPUandperipheralfunction operation.Byprovidingtheuserwithawiderangeofclockselectionsusingregistersprogramming, aclocksystemcanbeconfiguredtoobtainmaximumapplicationperformance. Themainsystemclock,cancomefromeitherahighfrequencyfHorlowfrequencyfSUBsource, andisselectedusingtheCKS2~CKS0bitsintheSCCregister.Thehighspeedsystemclockcan besourcedeitherfromtheHIRCortheHXToscillatorbyconfiguringtheFHSbit.Thelowspeed systemclocksourcecanbesourcedfromeithertheLIRCoscillatororLXToscillatorbyconfiguring theFSSbit.Theotherchoice,whichisadividedversionofthehighspeedsystemoscillatorhasa rangeoffH/2~fH/64. TheHXT,HIRCandLXToscillatorswillturnonbysettingtheirrelatedenablebitsHXTEN, HIRCENandLXTEN.TheLIRCwillturnoffwhenCPUenterstheSLEEPModeandtheWDT willturnoff.
