Thismodeoperatesallowingthemicrocontrollertooperatenormallywithaclocksourcewillcome fromoneofthehighspeedoscillators,HIRCorHXT.Thehighspeedoscillatorwillhoweverfirst bedividedbyaratiorangingfrom1to64,theactualratiobeingselectedbytheCKS2~CKS0bitsin theSCCregister.Althoughahighspeedoscillatorisused,runningthemicrocontrolleratadivided clockratioreducestheoperatingcurrent. SLOW Mode Thisisalsoamodewherethemicrocontrolleroperatesnormallyalthoughnowwithaslowerspeed clocksourcefSUB.TheclocksourceisderivedfromthelowspeedoscillatorLIRCorLXToscillator. Runningthemicrocontrollerinthismodeallowsittorunwithmuchloweroperatingcurrents. SLEEP Mode TheSLEEPModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheFHIDENand FSIDENbitsarebothlow.IntheSLEEPmodetheCPUwillbestopped.AndthefSUBclockto peripheralwillbeonoroffwhichiscontrolledbytheWDTfunctionbeingenabledordisabledin thismode. IDLE0 Mode TheIDLE0ModeisenteredwhenaHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheFSIDENbitin theSCCregisterishighandtheFHIDENbitintheSCCregisterislow.IntheIDLE0Modethe CPUwillbeswitchedoffbutthelowspeedoscillatorwillbeturnedontodrivesomeperipheral functions. |
